Big Picture
Do I have to return bottles to get the best price?
No. You can buy without ever returning a bottle. But returning empties earns you S$1 in store credit each time — every bottle you return directly reduces what you pay on your next order.
What if I lose or break a bottle?
No penalty. You just don't get the S$1 credit for that bottle. Buy your next one as normal.
Do the bottles need to be spotless?
A quick rinse is enough. We sterilise everything before reuse, so don't worry about scrubbing. Just make sure: the bottle is rinsed clean with no residue or odour, the original WiskTea Recipe label is intact (don't remove or peel it), the bottle has no chips or cracks, and the original cap is included — we need the cap back too.
Can I return bottles I bought a long time ago?
Yes. There is no time limit on bottle returns. Any genuine WiskTea Recipe Kombucha bottle qualifies — any flavour, any time — as long as the original label is intact, the bottle is rinsed and undamaged, and the cap is included. We do not check purchase date.
What if a friend gives me their empty bottle to return?
Totally fine. We don't track who bought what — a returned bottle is a returned bottle. Any genuine WiskTea Recipe bottle in qualifying condition earns S$1 credit, regardless of where you got it.
How do I actually return my bottles?
Two ways — whichever is easier:
- Drop off at our Tampines Collection Point — by prior arrangement. WhatsApp us at +65 8789 9343 to confirm a time. Address: 109 Tampines Street 86, The Alps Residences, S528534. Open Mon–Fri 7–9 PM, Sat 10 AM–9 PM. Closed Sundays and Public Holidays.
- Hand to your courier at your next delivery — have your rinsed bottles ready and pass them to the driver when your order arrives. Drop us a WhatsApp afterwards to confirm the count.
How do I redeem my S$1 credit?
You don't need to do anything. Once we receive your returned bottle, we add S$1 in store credit directly to your account and send you a confirmation email. The credit applies automatically at checkout on your next order. Make sure you have a Botaniko account — credits are tied to your account, so log in before you return to ensure they land correctly. No account yet? Create one free at botaniko.sg.
Do credits expire?
Never. Use them whenever you like.
What if my credit is more than my order total?
We apply what we can to this order, and the rest stays in your account for next time.
How often do subscription orders ship?
Monthly. You'll receive your 6 or 12 bottles every month like clockwork.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
Yes — with one distinction: you can pause or skip a delivery at any time, no questions asked. To cancel, you'll need to complete your first 3 orders first — after that, cancel anytime from your account dashboard.
Do I still get the S$1 return credit on subscription orders?
Absolutely. Subscribe-and-return is the most cost-effective way to drink with us — you save on both ends.
What if I'm going on holiday?
Pause your subscription from your account, or skip a delivery. Resume whenever you're back.
Is this actually better for the environment than recycling?
Yes, significantly. Recycling glass means crushing it and re-melting it at very high temperatures — energy-intensive. Reuse just means washing and refilling, which uses about 85% less energy per bottle. The catch is that reuse only works if bottles actually come back, which is why the S$1 matters.
What happens to bottles that can't be reused?
If a bottle comes back chipped or cracked, we send it to a glass recycler so the material still gets a second life — just not as one of our bottles.
